I really like it. These warm colors just fit this bedroom. The shapes are fine also. I know how difficult it can be to make a painting like yours. For a first attempt, it's really amazing. Were you using a limited palette during the process?

I'm glad you like the ballpoint pen photo, I'll try to find similar interesting objects to put under microscope.
Thanks! My palette was pretty limited, considering I'd never worked with oils before, and decided it would be best to buy only a few colors with which I could create pretty much any color I wanted. I also didnt have a wide variety of brushes to work with, because again I didn't want to buy to many brushes geared towards oil work simply because I didn't know if I'd like the medium. I ended up using toothpicks to paint the curtains! Some colors just didnt come out the way i had hoped they would, :P but i guess overall the thing came out pretty decent for a first attempt lol :P

Limited palette is a bit funny term, because every palette is limited :) But as far as I know, a limited palette consists about 2,3 or 4 colors. Toothpick is a useful tool even if you have many brushes.

I hope you liked oils, keep painting!
Thanks your fav. Nice to meet u. your painting, it's so beautiful
